INOPOL Entrepreneurship Academy is an organic unit of the Polytechnic of Coimbra with statutory, cultural, administrative and disciplinary autonomy whose mission is to:
a) Promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, foster the transfer and valorisation of knowledge and enhance the creation and growth of new companies,
startups and spinoffs, with a scientific basis and innovative nature;
b) Manage the appropriate strategies to ensure full employability of the institution’s graduates.
INOPOL’s responsibilities, within the context of its mission and strategic orientation, are:
– To promote, streamline and manage multidisciplinary programmes to foster entrepreneurship, innovation and employability, in conjunction with the other organic units of the PUC;
– To promote, streamline and manage non-degree training programmes, in the areas of its mission;
– To support the innovation value chain in the PUC community, promoting the transfer and valorisation of knowledge;
– To manage the PUC’s intellectual property and the processes of technology transfer and valorisation of knowledge;
– To promote and manage integration in networks, consortia and projects to foster entrepreneurship, innovation and employability;
– To strengthen the link between the scientific and technological fields and the community, in particular, the business sector;
– To provide incubation services for entrepreneurial projects and science-based and innovative companies;
– To promote the employability and professional integration of PUC students and graduates
