InovC+ | Innovation Ecosystem for Knowledge and Technology Transfer in the Central Region
The Polytechnic of Coimbra, through its Organic Unit INOPOL Entrepreneurship Academy, is one of the 23 members of the consortium “InovC+: Innovation Ecosystem for Knowledge and Technology Transfer in the Central Region”, which includes Higher Education Institutions, Interface Centers and Science and Technology Parks.
This project aims to enhance the valorisation and transfer of knowledge, the transfer of results from research and technological development and innovation activities (R&D+I) to the regional economy, by supporting the fostering of the Regional Innovation Ecosystem of the Central Region, and strengthening its specialized, individual and collective skills as an ecosystem, of interaction with companies and Society as a whole.
Its strategic objectives are:
– To expand, disseminate and publicize scientific and technological knowledge produced in the Central Region;
– To promote and accelerate the change of more entrepreneurial and open attitudes, values and behaviors, through collaboration in innovation projects, use of new ideas and technologies, risk-taking and combating the stigma of failure;
– To promote the increase in the technological intensity of the region’s business fabric, particularly in terms of the green and digital transition, strengthening its connection to the SCTN;
– To promote, disseminate and encourage a culture of scientific and technological knowledge transfer in the region, generating knowledge and qualified employment;
– To improve the innovation performance of the Central Region, contributing to the improvement of its classification by the Regional Innovation Scoreboard of the European Union.
