Poliempreende is the largest network for promoting Entrepreneurship in Portuguese polytechnic higher education.
Its objectives are:
– To promote an entrepreneurial culture, fostering creativity, innovation, the spirit of enterprise and the ability to work as a team;
– To educate/train for entrepreneurship;
– To promote the transfer of technology and knowledge between academia and the business sector;
– To promote the creation of new innovative companies.
The Poliempreende Competition includes a regional phase and a national phase.
In the regional phase, the Polytechnic University of Coimbra promotes a series of initiatives (awareness-raising sessions on entrepreneurship, creativity/innovation and brainstorming, training workshops for the preparation of business plans and mentoring) that culminate in the regional competition. The winning project (1st place) at the Polytechnic University of Coimbra will compete at a national level with the winners selected from the other partners in the network.
